Dina Goebel is a mixed-media sculptural artist based in Bass Coast, Gippsland Victoria, whose practice explores the fragile balance between consumerism and conservation. Working with 3D-printing processes, natural elements, found materials and fabrication waste, she creates hybrid sculptural forms that draw viewers in through beauty before revealing the environmental contradictions embedded within systems of production and consumption.

Goebel has maintained a creative practice across four decades, moving through functional art, glass mosaic, jewellery, figurative sculpture, art dolls, narrative assemblage and contemporary installation. This long material history continues to inform the way she approaches form, surface, storytelling and the relationship between the handmade object and the spaces in which it is encountered.

Her current body of work, Fragile Futures, is an ongoing sculptural exhibition series launched in 2026. The project transforms the residue of desktop 3D printing into marine, bodily and speculative forms, using attraction and material contradiction to prompt closer attention to the environmental costs of contemporary fabrication. Fragile Futures has been presented at Meeniyan Art Gallery and Yarra Sculpture Gallery, with further exhibition development continuing through 2026 and 2027.

Her sculpture Moon Jellies was selected as a finalist in the Emerging Artist category of the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize at the South Australian Museum. Her work has also received recognition through regional exhibitions and art prizes, including a 3D art award at the Phillip Island Melbourne Cup Show and Leongatha Rotary Art Show.

Alongside her studio practice, Goebel brings extensive experience in creative entrepreneurship and strategic leadership. She founded and led ArTTable, a national creative education business that worked with more than 5,000 participants, and she remains active within the regional arts community. She is increasingly invited to contribute through artist talks, demonstrations, committee strategy and advisory work, particularly around sustaining a creative practice, material experimentation and audience engagement.
