A vertical accumulation of resin and embedded 3D-printing waste, After the Species — Totem proposes a future where species persist, but no longer in their original form.
Drawing on current interventions—such as lab-grown kelp—the work reflects a turning point where survival becomes conditional on human systems. What continues is not restoration, but adaptation: a version of nature reconfigured through technology, maintenance, and control.
The totem stands as an engineered echo of this shift—part organism, part artefact—marking the moment a species moves from ecological presence to human-managed existence.
