Built from glass, 3D-printing waste and sculpted marine growths, this work imagines an ecology developing through the materials we make and discard. Root-like forms rise from accumulated plastic debris into strange coral structures, where a familiar bottle neck has begun to disappear into the growth. Beautiful but slightly unfamiliar, the work considers a future in which synthetic material is no longer simply pollution surrounding marine life, but part of what that life grows through and around.
